Warneford Park Pre-planning application consultation

Thank you

Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for your interest and involvement in September 2024 during our first consultation phase. We really appreciated the detailed conversations we had with you which gave us rich and helpful insights into how we move forward with our plans and designs.

The engagement report for phase one summarises the key feedback, ideas and suggestions received from everyone that took part.

Phase Two

We would now like to invite you to get involved in our second phase of the pre-planning application consultation for Warneford Park.

Our revised proposals have been developed to take into account your feedback shared so far. This second phase of consultation includes exhibition events and a survey to present these revised plans in more detail and hear your views. We would also like to explain how we are responding to your feedback.

The proposals – a summary

For those that have not been involved in phase one, or who would like a reminder of our proposals:

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are working in partnership with the University of Oxford and a partner to develop a major brain health research and innovation campus. This will include:

  • a new mental health hospital, offering the best treatment, care, and therapeutic environment.
  • a modern scientific facility for the world-leading brain research taking place at the University of Oxford, with additional space for biotech, pharmaceutical and start-up companies.
  • a new post-graduate college for the University of Oxford focused on medical sciences, bio-engineering and related disciplines.

Read more about the revised proposals.

Get Involved

We would like to encourage local residents, organisations and key stakeholders to get involved once again and share their feedback, so that we can understand whether the revised plans for Warneford Park meet people's needs in the best way possible.

The deadline for feedback is 5pm on Friday 10 January 2025.

These events and activities aim to gather valuable insights and feedback on the proposed redevelopment from a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure we get these revised proposals right.

Once the second consultation phase is complete, the feedback will inform the planning application that will be submitted to Oxford City Council in Spring 2025.
