South East GP website improvement programme communications campaign

NHS South, Central and West (SCW) were commissioned by NHS England to carry out an evaluation on all South East general practice (GP) websites. This involved auditing more than 800 websites with a focus on patient accessibility via a mobile phone, with the aim of ensuring practices met the required standards in line with NHS England’s benchmark and improvement tool. The work came about from a need to improve access to general practice, one of the most significant challenges facing primary care in England, and to move towards a model of general practice that is safer, more efficient and more inclusive.

My role on the project was to promote the work done by SCW and its capabilities in this space through a communications campaign, including promoting the drive to bring general practice websites up to the standards required to meet contractual obligations, accessibility, and usability standards.

This page is to provide feedback to myself and my input to the communications campaign and programme of work.
