NHS National Document Repository

GP practices across England are already benefiting from the National Document Repository (NDR), a secure NHS service designed to simplify the management of patient records.

The NDR currently enables practices to access and store digitised Lloyd George records. From mid-February, new functionality will allow practices to:

  • Upload copies of Electronic Health Records as a GP2GP fallback, meaning no more printing and posting.

  • Review and accept records uploaded by other practices for patients registered with you.

  • Add new information to existing records.

These new features will remove the need to print and post electronic records, helping practices save further time, space and money.

We would really welcome your feedback on how familiar you are with the NDR service, if you are using it and why.
