Case Studies Needed

NHS England is looking for examples of best practice and learning to be featured in a national toolkit – Maximising Population Health and Prevention in Curricula.

The toolkit, first developed in 2019 and currently being updated, is aimed at education providers to help enhance the learning offer of population health and prevention in undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare courses. The long-term ambition being to embed capability within the healthcare workforce to improve the health of the population and reduce inequalities.

Watch an animation about why embedding prevention skills in the NHS is important.

We are seeking case studies of best practice and innovation, key learnings and successes in all areas of enhancing public health in curricula. We are interested to hear about how you developed and delivered your courses, as well as methods for testing and evaluating them. Please see the guidance in the attached document 'Case Study Submission Guide - Maximising Population Health and Prevention in Curricula' when submitting your case study.

The closing date for submissions is Friday the 12th of January 2024, after which time NHS England and a panel of stakeholders will review submissions and select a number of them to be featured in the toolkit. Successful applicants will also be invited to a national event in 2024 to present their work to education providers and NHS colleagues.
