Primary Care workforce development and planning support.

Consultation has concluded

BOB ICS in investing in free to access support for practices and PCNs to plan for their future workforce. We recognise that General Practice is under pressure, with increasing patient demand and challenges in staff recruitment leading to reduced capacity. One way of managing the gap between capacity and demand is to use other healthcare professionals to take on some of the work normally undertaken by GPs and Practice Nurses. The introduction of ARRS roles within Primary Care facilitates an opportunity to manage workforce capacity and capability.

We would like to understand more about workforce planning within primary care, and whether or not practices in BOB have workforce plans. Whether you need support with workforce and what that support might look like.

Please could you answer a short survey, which will help us to shape a package of support for practices, as we head into winter.

Thank you.
