The NHS England GP Workforce Team are looking to better understand the real issues within General Practice and from people working across the Primary Care landscape. We are looking to gain views from a range of clinical and non-clinical leads and GPs in order to support the implementation of initiatives set out in the 5 year GP Contract deal 2020-2024.

One of the main features of the new GP Contract is the introduction of a series of measures to aid GP recruitment and retention to deliver 6,000 more doctors working in Primary Care by 2024.

As part of this work we would like to understand more about the levels of awareness of current national schemes as well as levels of interest and relevance of these schemes to local systems. In addition we want to hear your own ideas about how we might better support the Primary Care workforce and improve on existing retention initiatives for GPs.
