FAQs
Why is this survey happening?
The Primary Care Managers Development Survey is designed to give you the opportunity to tell us about your views on your current and future training and support services. The survey includes questions about your primary care management experience, your qualifications, training, career progressions and intentions.
Your answers will help NHS England develop a training offer for Primary Care Managers. Practices and PCN’s have had to make many changes in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, so it is more important than ever that we hear about your experiences and training needs to ensure your voice is heard.
Who is this survey for?
This survey is for Primary Care Managers, specifically practice managers and PCN managers.
Who is asking the questions?
South, Central and West CSU have been commissioned by NHS England to engage with primary care managers to understand their training and development needs.
I have been off work for some time due to sickness. Should I complete the survey?
If you have been on sickness leave for less than one year you are welcome to respond to the survey and are encouraged to give your views if you feel well enough to do so. However, participation in the survey is not compulsory.
Can the questionnaire be completed in the workplace in work time?
Research has shown that giving you the opportunity to complete a questionnaire in the workplace during work time can boost response rates. It is the responsibility of your practice’s management to inform you whether or not this is acceptable. This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes of your time.
Do I have to complete the survey?
Participation in the survey is not compulsory, but you are strongly encouraged to use the opportunity to give your opinions and views about any primary care training you have received or, would like to receive for your current or future role.
It is important that as many managers as possible complete the questionnaire. The higher the survey response rate, the more confident we can be that the survey findings are representative of the views of primary cares a whole.
Where can I find the results of the survey?
The survey results will be collated and fed into a report to NHS England, to support the formation of a national training offer for primary care managers.
