Health and Justice Medicines Optimisation - South East

NHS England Health and Justice have commissioned the Medicines Optimisation teams at South Central West Commissioning Support Units (SCW CSU) and London Shared Service (previously known as North East London CSU) to provide a Medicines Optimisation support service to all Health and Justice sites across the South East region.

The purpose of the Medicines Optimisation service is to provide pharmacy providers with support to

  • optimise the standards in medicines management and medicines optimisation activities in accordance with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Professional standards on Optimising Medicines in Secure Environments; and
  • provide assurance that the use of medicines within Secure Environments is effectively managed; and
  • ensure individuals receive medicines in a safe and appropriate manner.

As part of the first phase of the service, we will undertake a desktop analysis to establish service baseline and to identify variations in service provision and contract arrangements. We ask for your support and co-operation in completing the questionnaire in a timely manner. Please see the 'completion guide and tips' on the right side panel of this webpage for guidance.

Please submit the completed questionnaire and attach all relevant documentation by 3rd December 2021.
